Q: I have a portable a/c unit -- the specs on the side say its 115 volts (60HZ, 1PH), and 9.5 amps. Will this extension cord be safe & ok for me to use? It seems to me like it will be but I just want to confirm. Thanks!

A: Hi David, This power cord was purchased to power LED indoor Christmas lights. I would not recommend it for an air conditioner. You should look for a heavier cord of 14 or 12 gauge wire (a heavy duty extension cord) to support a three prong plug.
