Ninja Luxe Café Pro Series, Espresso Maker

I bought this as a Christmas gift for myself and one for each of my kids. We are all in agreement that it is the best gift any of us ever got. I had real doubts about if they would like them, but they both have been raving about them since. The coffee is outstanding and it is very easy to operate. I drink coffee in the morning and then several espresso drinks during the day. The built in tamper and the easy to use frother are wonderful. I've never been into high end coffee drinks, but I'm hooked now. You will wait longer in line for a latte at a coffee shop than it takes for you to make one. I can't recommend this enough.

I bought this machine 2 weeks ago. It is very inconsistent. The espresso output varies widely. The basisra assist is not accurate at all. It starts with grind size 18, the flow is too fast. It then recommends a grind size of 14, I try it then no water comes out since it is too fine. How can it be too fine if it is only 4 sizes finer and it is recommended by the machine. Highly unreliable.

It is a beautiful-looking machine. I am still trying to figure out all of the ins and outs of it to get a great cup of espresso, even after reading the manual several times and making the suggested adjustments. A few things could use improving. it should have a way of rinsing the brew head without running actual shots of water, especially when doing so, the water runs through quickly, and it triggers the grind setting recommendation to change. If I try to use a different grind setting, it beeps and won't let me, even though I saw it done in a video. It never brews a full double shot of espresso, no matter what strength or grind I use. Sometimes it brews barely any. There should also be a way to clear the water from the frother before you start steaming, as water goes into the milk and dilutes it. I've tried starting to steam in a separate cup and then switching it to the milk carafe without much success. Water still comes out first because it goes into purge mode when you interrupt the steaming process. I like that I can select the froth I want and it automatically stops when it's done, so that if I'm doing something else, it doesn't over-froth and overflow. I like the auto lever tamper as grounds don't get everywhere. I like that it fits under my cabinet and the ease of filling and getting the water tank out when it's under there. I like the storage compartment. So far, I'm pretty happy with it, but I've yet to get a really good cup of coffee/espresso from it. There is a learning curve, even though I am not a novice when it comes to espresso machines and making espresso. Definitely not for a newbie, even though there are so many automatic settings and actions. Sometimes, that makes it harder because you can't tailor it to your specific liking/tastes. It would be nice if you could choose auto or manual settings. So far, I'm pretty happy with it, but we'll see as I learn more about how to use it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this machine a couple of weeks ago and can not complain. Settings that range from expresso and cold brew all the way to just regular coffee makes it a phenomenal machine. Built in grinder and tamper gives the right amount of coffee each time with no mess along with a large water tank that leaves you brew many cups b4 having to refill. Also the dual froth system comes with 5 different settings going from minimal froth to thick froth all with a built-in auto clean cycle after each use. Would definitely recommend for coffee enthusiasts!
