Questions
Q: does the bottom need to be siliconed in order to be waterproof or does it come as one piece?
4 months agoA: If you are putting loose substrate in, that you will be wetting, you should seal the edges with aquarium silicone to prevent leakage. You will probably want to so this anyway if using dry substrate as it isn't a tight seal, and tiny grains/dust can leak. It is not made to hold water for a paludarium, though. I purchased one from another company, and it came pre assembled, except for the glass, that was packaged flat to avoid breakage. It was a smaller enclosure, though, so I am not sure about this size.
