5 year life span.

I received this as a gift about 5 years ago, it just died. I spoke to a technical specialist, they said it was an electrical issue and could not be fixed. I then spoke to a supervisor who said, "That is an appropriate life span for this machine. We do have other (more expensive) machines which last longer." He offered me a discount towards the purchase of a new machine. When I asked why I should add my dead machine to my landfill/recycling bin only to have to do the same thing eventually with the next Nespresso, he said "That is the best I can do."

To continue: After I saw the response from Nespresso: (....Rest assured that we'll be happy to further assist you via live chat on our website....) I reached out one again through the chat. And this was the response:
"Please note that as agents from the digital chat, we can only share with you troubleshooting steps that you may follow to try fixing your machine."
So, it was a total waste of time. Plus my initial chat was disconnected, so I spend a total of another 30 minutes with Nespresso only to be now futher ahead.

If you're shopping for a Nespresso machine do NOT buy this one. I've gone through two Vertuo Next machines in a three year span and both have stopped working due to a mechanical water pump issue. I can't tell you how many pods have been wasted because the machine will randomly stop working despite being perfectly fine the previous day. I love the taste and quality of Nespresso coffee and I've already purchased a different model, but I have to say I'm disappointed that their machines barely last for two years. For a company that prides itself on recycling and sustainability they should be more dedicated to creating a longer lasting product and avoiding their machines ending up in landfills.

Bien que la température de nos machines ne puisse pas être augmentée manuellement, voici quelques astuces pour obtenir un café plus chaud :
– Connectez l’appareil à votre Wi-Fi pour obtenir la dernière mise à jour du logiciel
– Utilisez une tasse de la taille de votre préparation. L’utilisation d’une tasse plus grande refroidira le mélange plus rapidement.
– Nettoyez fréquemment la chambre d’extraction (une fois par semaine). Le nettoyage prendra environ 5 minutes et vous trouverez les instructions dans votre manuel d’utilisation. Nous espérons que cela vous aidera. À la vôtre!
