Do not buy, save your money

I purchased a mens Nakamura Ecko on sale in April of 2021. I have ridden this bike about 20-25 times casually with the kids and just last week my freewheel decided to completely lock up preventing you from coasting when you don't need to pedal. I took the bike to the local service shop where the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They were willing to inspect the freewheel with no charge at all. When I came back to the shop I was told that they weren't able to take the freewheel off and that I would have to purchase a new rear wheel with a new freewheel which would go for about $90 + labor. This bike is literally a few months out of the warranty period and it is now complete trash. The only fix that is available is pretty much the cost of the entire bike which is ridiculous. This bike was always ridden on the pavement as casually as humanly possible which tells you the quality of what you get if that's all it takes for it to break. I still have my 15-year-old childhood bike in my parent's garage which works perfectly...

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Helpful?

    Poor quality, barely used.

Bought this 2 or 3 years ago, handles are too far forward yes. Barely used and handlebar came loose and off, handle grip ripped apart, chain came off, and front tire warped.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I was looking forward to using my first bike in ten years, but on its maiden voyage the chain slipped its track and ripped off the plastic chain guard. Why isn't the chain guard metal?

No, I do not recommend this product.
