This inner reel spring works with bump knobs for MTD trimmer heads, fitting Troy-Bilt, MTD, Yard Machines, Yard-Man, Bolens and Remington models that require part number 49M3066P953. Meant as a replacement for OEM spring number 791-610317, this spring helps keep your trimmer head working smoothly by ensuring the spool sits properly on the reel. A small but crucial part, this spring helps your trimmer lines wind up evenly, keeping your edges trimmed just right.
