Small tanks don't work

I took it ice fishing and the 1lb tanks would frost up immediately at -15. It would continuously turn off because this heater pulls too much propane at once. I needed to get a $40 adapter to use a 20lb tank and now it works great. Also find it quite annoying to use the flex cooker accessory you need to have the pilot light turned on on the heater. Once I had all of these issues fixed it heats really well. The design of this heater could definitely be improved

A: Hi, Thank you for your question. You should never use any fuel burning heater indoors that is not vented and in accordance with local safety and certification requirements at any time, or for any duration of time, ever. Please note that the ability to use a heater indoors changes from country to country. Mr. Heater does offer a full range of shop and indoor space heaters and vent kits that meet the Canadian safety and certification requirements that you may want to consider instead. A: It can be used, however it consumes air, so you need to have fresh air coming In It has an co and 02 sensor which will shut it off if it has to much co Would still have a co detector if being used inside for emergency purposes It isn’t super efficient for long term use A 20 lb bottle will last 24-26 hours on low Always be careful

Q: Can an auxillary propane tank such as a 20lb cylinder be connected to this or only a 1lb cylinder.

A: No it can not... the fitting is not the same as the big buddy heater and the hose is not compatible... Waste of time and money... Useless if you can not use the same hose as the big buddy...or any other universal quick release hose...why would you want to have 3 different types of hoses when one should fit both You don't want to be using the 1lb tank adapter hose in winter as it is to hard to take on and off in the cold I have tested it in -12c. Fail!!!! Barely ran off the 1lb tank.... Stick to the buddy or the big buddy heater
