Purchased for my vintage VW Beetle. The product was reasonably priced and installation was a breeze. Very pleased.

Always worked well for us. Good to have on the battery of our classic car when parked for extended periods. No wrench required to disconnect the battery.

Do NOT spread the clamp !

Cheap pot metal. It sat a little high on the post and a very slight attempt to spread the clamp caused it to snap in half. Zero flexibility to it. Confirmed by other reviews I now see.

Q: How many do I need per car? Will this work on a 2013 Honda Accord? How many do I need for the battery?

Q: How and why do I connect the bypass wire?

1 Answer
  • A: Use of the bypass is optional. You can use it if you have low-current systems that you wish to keep powered such as computer settings, radio, clock, etc., while main cranking power itself is disconnected by the switch.

Q: How do you connect the cable to the switch?

Q: How does the knob break the circuit without taking it all the way out?

1 Answer
  • A: The product uses a nylon spacer. As the knob is turned counter-clockwise, the connection is broken. Use can fully remove the knob if you wish to use the disconnect as an anti-theft device.
