Q: I'm looking for a 12 Volt Battery to run a Gallagher electric fencer. Is the Motomaster Nautilus group size 24, deep cycle suitable?
4 months agoA: We would require you to provide more information about the type, voltage and capacity of battery the manufacturer, Gallagher, specifies in their instructions. Generally, an electric fence would use a much smaller battery - an SLA battery in the 4 to 10 Amp hour range. For perspective, this MotoMaster Nautilus battery is 75 Ah, so while it certainly would work, it's overkill.

2 years agoA: You would use a "12-volt" battery charger (but understand that 12-volt battery chargers actually charge to upwards of 15 volts because that is what is necessary to effectively charge a 12-volt battery).
