MotoMaster Low-Temperature Extreme Pressure Grease Grade 2 is specially formulated to keep parts moving freely in cold conditions. This premium calcium-based marine grease is resistant to water and can handle the stress of high-impact equipment like snowmobiles and snow throwers. The grease is light in colour and uses a low-staining formula that won’t leave behind messy residue. It also contains extreme pressure, anti-wear, and oxidation inhibitors to prevent damage under heavy loads. In sum, this grease is designed to enable precision application wherever you need it.

Q: is this safe in aluminum auger box with brass gear?

  • A: I have not used this grease in an aluminum gear box. I have used it to grease a snowmobile (Skidoo Elan) with boggie wheels. These wheels have an aluminum shaft. I never had a problem. It sounds like you may want to use it in a snowblower . I do not see any problem,

Q: is this equivalent of Shell Alvania grease EPR00 Extreme Pressure Low Temp grease?

  • A: Thank you for your question. These greases are not equivalent, Sheel Alvania is NLGI grade 00 and this grease is NLGI grade 2.

Q: Can you use this Motomaster calcium based low temperature Extreme Pressure grease on plastic parts? Say, like in a recoil for a snowmobile? product 028-0881-8

  • A: This grease is intended for chassis and bearing lubrication. It has not been tested for use with plastics. We have not received any complaints associated with the use of this grease associated with plastics. Grease is often supplied in 5 gallon high density polyethylene containers.
