Q: Is this oil compatible with carbon composite synchronized manual transmissions like the NV4500 found in a Dodge pick-up?

A: I used it in an NV3500 without issue however, to be safe... you should DL a spec sheet from New Venture, find out what spec oil is called for and then match the spec to the back of the jug. That’s the only way you can be 100% sure.

Q: does this formulation of gear oil contain friction modifiers or do you have to add them separate for limited slip differentials

Q: Is this product safe on yellow metals in synchronized manual transmissions? Please provide the exact recommendation that the vendor has for it with respect to damaging yellow metals, such as brass bushings in manual transmission synchros. Also, please indicate if it uses traditional or buffered sulfur for EP additives.

A: This product uses a buffered sulfur, and will not harm yellow metals in an API MT-1, GL-5, or GL-4 application. The copper corrosion test result is a 1A.

A: No – this product does not contain LS additive. If a limited slip additive is needed, you will need to buy and add the amount required by equipment manufacturer.

Great for off-road or towing not daily highway

Definitely thick oil use mainly if towing or off-roading not for daily highway use, I went with this thickness because I wheel often in the woods and tow often
