Q: Can this be used on the rear diff of a 2015 lancer se awc.. dealer recommend sae80 hypoid gear oil.

A: This gear oil is recommended in hypoid gear applications, but it is not an SAE 80. It’s an SAE 90 multigrade oil. 80W specifies the cold temperature performance. This product is a higher viscosity oil at higher temperatures (100 C). It does not meet the dealer’s recommendation.

A: Merci pour votre question, Phil. Malheureusement, MotoMaster n'offre pas d'huile qui répondrait aux exigences d'une huile pour transmission manuelle pour une Honda Civic 2008. A: Thank you for your question. Shell Alvania EP Low Temp Grease is not equivalent to the MotorMaster 80W-90 Gear Oil. MotorMaster 80W-90 GL-5 can be used in snowblower gearboxes that do not contain brass components.
