    Short lived

Worked okay for a few years but has since crapped out on me. Won't change, flashes and blinks and twitches out, and I'm only using it on brand new power sports machines with new batteries so I know it's not a battery issue. Disappointed to say the least. Didn't even get that much use. I don't have the receipt, might be a little past the warranty period.

Great product, unfortunately this was a replacement as the other failed after almost 4 years, no problem with exchange at store, excellent customer service in Lindsay store.

    Questions

    1 - 10 of 11 Questions

Q: Is this charger OK with 12v deep cycle batteries rv

    5 Answers
    • A: We use the charger to recharge two deep cycle trolling batteries and maintain one regular battery on our boat. It also maintains all three through the winter in cold storage. It seems to work just fine although we seldom use the boat on back to back days. Not sure if it would charge fast enough for that kind of use.

Q: Does this maintainer actually reduce to zero amps when battery is full, thus avoiding overcharge condition?

    3 Answers
    • A: It monitors the battery charge level and adjusts to that over time. I left it connected to a couple of 12v lawnmower batteries for several weeks and they were not overcharged.

Q: I am considering the NOCO 4 battery charger is this comparable?

    • A: I had the Noco 4 for a number of years (maybe 8?) but then it started to fail. It started to not charge on 1 bank and over the course of about a year it completed stopped charging on all banks. I wanted another charger but was not willing to pay the price for the Noco so I purchased the Eliminator 3 bank charger. So far so good. Works just like the Noco but with 1 fewer charging banks. It was considerably cheaper (and not just because it had 1 fewer banks) and works just as well.

Q: Hi, I was wondering if this charger was capable of Maintaining a 12V Lithium-Iron Phosphate RV Battery during the off season?

    1 Answer
    • A: This charger is not compatible with lithium batteries. From Canadian Tire's assortment, please consider the NOCO Genius 2X2 (011-1993) or 2X4 (011-1994) models as they are compatible with 12V lithium batteries.

Q: Will this charger maintain 6 volt deep cycle AGM batteries?

    1 Answer
    • A: This product is for 12-volt batteries. It cannot be used with individual 6-volt batteries. You can, however, maintain two 6-volt batteries connected in series (to form a 12-volt bank). Alternatively, you can consider the NOCO Genius G4 (model 011-1930) as it has both a 6V and 12V setting.

Q: Is this water proof like the noco tri bank charger

    1 Answer
    • A: Neither the NOCO G4 nor this product are "waterproof." They cannot, for example, be submerged in water. Both products are, however, IP65 rated meaning "protection against low-pressure jets (6.3 mm) of directed water from any angle."
