Q: Will this load tester work for AGM deep cycle 12V batteries?
5 years agoA: This battery will test 12V AGM deep cycle batteries. Select "FLAt" battery types (for flat plate AGM). A copy of the manual is available by clicking the Addition Info - User Manual link. Note, like any battery tester, it cannot measure the capacity of a deep cycle battery, only it's health. Also note, this is not a "load" tester. A traditional load tester will apply a load (say 100A) to a battery over a number of seconds to determine it's condition. Modern battery testers such as this one apply a very low AC current to the battery assess it's condition. This approach is very accurate and non invasive to the battery or things connected to the battery.

Q: How many AH is the tester rated for?
5 years agoA: This battery tester is rated for 12V lead acid batteries rated 100 to 1200 CCA. (This would cover most batteries from about 5 to 120 Ah.). It is not rated by Ah as it cannot be used to test for Ah capacity (of a deep cycle battery for example). No battery tester (at least not any battery that costs less than $2000) is capable of testing a battery’s capacity.
