Cheap junk

I'm returning it. Biggest waste of money, it didn't even work. I don't have much faith now when you claim it's tested in Canada and proven...

Q: Help I picked it up yesterday. But had no power as no level lights lit up. Been plugged in now for 18 hours & only showing 1 red, 1 yellow, & 2 red lights. Is 4 green lights needed to show a full charge? Did I get a bad one & have to take it back?

Q: Can this be used as a charger as well? Like if my battery dies, can I leave this hooked on to bring the charge up??

Q: I am confused - some videos show connecting the negative end of the cable to the negative end of battery and then some videos show connecting to the chasis. Using a battery booster, which is correct. The vehicle is a 2018 Kia Sorento

  • A: I'm a retired Class A mechanic. A shot of power is a shot of power no matter where it comes from, a booster pack or another car battery. It is recommended to connect the negative cable to a STEEL part somewhere in the engine compartment. This is a precaution to prevent an oversurge of power to a weak or dead battery that could cause problems with computerized sensors. You can cause a spark touching any metal part with the negative cable, even the negative battery post, that's not why they recommend not connecting to the negative post. Both methods work, but experts say use a metal part on the car to protect both the dead battery and sensitive computerized components.

Q: How long does it stay charged for use?

2 Answers
  • A: Just like the battery under the hood of your car, the internal SLA battery in this booster pack will naturally self-discharge over time, quicker in hotter temperatures. For optimal performance and longevity, per the manual, it is recommended the unit be FULLY charged after each use and at least every 3 months even if not used.

Q: The compressor has stopped working. It gets hot and stops providing air. Any suggestions?

  • A: Per the instruction manual... "DO NOT operate air compressor continuously for longer than 10 minutes. Allow compressor to cool down for every 10 minutes of continuous use." We suggest allowing the compressor to cool down before using again.
