The MotoMaster 5W40 Synthetic Diesel Engine/Motor Oil, 946-mL, provides complete protection for lasting use. The diesel motor oil offers increased wear and sludge protection while preventing oil loss. It also exceeds API Baseline performance testing standards on piston cleanliness and low-temperature performance. Developed with Shell Technology, the diesel engine oil utilizes a balanced combination of premium synthetic base stocks to improve high-temperature and low-temperature properties. This combination of synthetic base oils and advanced additive technology provides optimized oil change interval capability when following engine manufacturers' recommendations. Besides, the oil's improved fuel economy and superior cold temperature start-up lubrication extend starter and battery life. The engine oil is available in sizes: 946 mL, 5L, and 18.9L.

Q: can i use this in 2016 ram 1500 ecodiesel 3.0L? ecodiesel motor needs 5w40 that meets FCA Material Standard MS-10902 and the API CJ-4 or ACEA E9/E7 or ACEA A3/B4 engine oil category is required.

A: No I don't think it does. If you're looking for high zinc and moly I recmmend looking into redline oils. They're expensive but they have high zinc and moly. It's been proven to knock down the hemi tick in the gas engines so that's saying alot.

Q: RAM 2014 ecodiesel 3.0 L. Fabricant demande une huile API CJ-4 5W40 (couvert par API CK-4). Le fabricant demande aussi la certification MS-10902. Comme cette huile est faire par Shell, rencontre-t-elle les critères du fabricant (comme la T6 de Rotella)?

Q: it's state oil has MB-Approval 228.31. But but motomaster oil even is not mentioned at Mercedes Benz site in the approvals list.
4 years agoA: It meets and exceeds all MB requirements, as it’s Shell Rotella T6 rebranded under Motomaster. i run it in my Infiniti QX4, and Kenworth T800 with the Cummins ISX15
