    Step one

The first step in a good polish, is a good polish on a painted surface. This is pretty good and with a bit of rubbing or a pad on a machine it brings up the shine. The idea of this product isn't to work on badly oxidized paint, that takes more steps. This is the second to last step in getting a great shine and it does work well. The wheels I worked on had less shine on the back of the wheels and this brought that up reasonably well. With just a microfiber towel it worked well too and with the next step in the line there is a difference.

Q: Will this product harm a clearcoat?

    2 Answers
    • A: No. It will not harm a clear coat. It's a non polar, non abrasive cleaner. It will take off oxidation and road tar quite easily and prep for a great glassy shine with the other 2 stages. This is the brand of 3 stage polish I've stuck with after trying quite a few different types. It works the best. You can trust it on the most expensive sports cars.

Q: Since this is a cleaner, does it act as a liquid clay bar? Or should we clay bar before as well to remove other paint contaminants?

    1 Answer
    • A: We recommend using the claybar in addition to and before pure polish. Nothing compares to the claybar for removing road grime, overspray, and other sticky contaminants. The pure polish is good for removing oxidation and old wax.

Q: Can I use this product on new paint before waxing? I just had my car painted 5 months ago. Since that time the car has been in storage and not driven. I am about ready to bring her out for the summer, but wanted a product to protect the new paint job before I wax...

    1 Answer
    • A: While this product is safe to use prior to waxing, it is more of a cleaner product, not a glaze or wax that provides protection. To protect that paint, we recommend using the Mothers Pure Brazilian Carnauba Wax (039-2863).

Q: Is there a minimum temperature at which this product may be used

    1 Answer
    • A: The product should be used at temperatures above 1 degree Celsius. If used when the temperature is below 15 degrees Celsius, it will work as expected, but it will just take longer to dry.
