Q: For those of you that have purchased this feeder...how were the wasps around it? were there a lot of wasps, hornets etc preventing the bees from getting at this type of feeder?

A: Hi Ernie. Anytime you have sugar water out, it will be an attraction for not only the hummingbirds but also bees, wasps and ants. It is the nature of the beast and not necessarily the feeder causing the issue. You may find this article helpful at keeping bees away from your bird feeder: http://www.birdsandblooms.com/birding/attracting-hummingbirds/keeping-bees-away-from-hummingbird-feeders/. I would recommend reading that article to see if there is a way to help your particular issue.
