Q: How is this model different than the G9 model?
12 years agoA: The 9-year model has one anode rod. The 12-year model has two anode rods and an extra 3 years of warranty. Anode rods prevent the tanks from corroding. Generally speaking, the more rods you have the longer the tank will last.

Q: What, specifically, does a flue clamper do?
12 years agoA: The word “clamper” was a typo. It is supposed to read “damper”. Electric water heaters do not have “flue dampers”. “Flue dampers” are used to remove flue gases from the heater to the outside of the house..
