Metabo HPT 36V Brushless 7-1/4-in Dual Bevel Sliding Mitre Saw

I loved this saw from the first time I removed it from the box. The weight, size, portability was only the beginning of what I liked. Though I did have to fine tune the guards a little, once that was done I have not had a single issue with it since. It is great that this saw can be used as a cordless or corded tool with the adapter as you sometimes use more batteries ob certain jobs than the other and having that extra reassurance that you can plug it in if needed. I like that it has a lazer to show you the cut line which is very easily adjusted as well as the 3 light settings that help as the light changes throughout the day.

I bought this saw a couple of months ago, the cutting capacity and the ac/dc adapter sold me on the saw I initially. But I've learned since it's so efficient on batteries I haven't needed to use the adapter. Cuts 2" pressure treated material with ease, weighing just 34 lbs it's light weight and easily transported from job sites, it's been hauled across lakes, to islands and everywhere in between! Never too a minute of setup it was deadly accurate out of the box. Very happy, so much so I'm expandingy 36v tool line from metabo HPT

My wife bought this for me because she knew I really wanted it but didn't exactly NEED it. I already have a Festool Kapex and two Makita miter saws. I primarily wanted this saw for the convenience of having a super light saw to move around from job site to job site. It brings this feature in spades! Super light! The controls are also simple and quick to use. The controls remind me a lot of the larger 12" Metabo miter but this saw is a fraction of the size and weight! The other huge advantage is unlike the Kapex you can put really cheap, really easy to source blades on it for doing anything you need. The Kapex blades are super expensive and I definitely can't get one at my local hardware store. With this saw I can put a cheap wood blade on it for cutting framing lumber and not worry at all if I hit a nail. It's also buttery smooth and knowing I can always use the corded adapter gives me piece of mind that this saw won't become antiquated someday unlike my Makita tools that are now out dated and don't have an adapter to use them without the batteries.

I own a lot of Festool and Milwaukee and the saw is fantastic.. Light weight… not bulky .. easy to use .. needs only one battery I could have bought the Kapex 60 but I chose this one instead and I am very happy I did .. The saw is accurate and easy to use.. I would like to see a digital readout in the future and an improvement in the adjustable fence … highly recommended.

Didn’t know until I knew, very valuable for (most cuts) and cheap and easy to swap blades.
