Product Details

This brilliant sliding miter saw from Metabo HPT offers the best of both the freedom of a cordless tool with the power output of a corded one. The MultiVolt system accepts either a 36 volt lithium-ion battery or an AC adapter, giving you flexibility on the worksite. Brushless motor technology provides increased runtime, durability and essentially zero maintenance. The zero-clearance slide rails allow cutting in tight spaces whilst depth setting control facilitates dado and rabbet cuts. An on-tool LED light illuminates the work area and adjustable laser enhances cutting accuracy. Multiplex circuitry in the battery communicates with the tool and charger, preventing overloads and prolonging battery life for improved safety.

Great saw. Imstructions on certain adjustments were not in the manual. Youbtube helped lot. Dust bag doesnt work worth a beans. Morenof a mess then anything. Working indoors with this was disappointing and the unit is heavy.

Better than the red and yellow

I jave the red in a 10 miter and the yellow in an 7.5 inch. I think this is better than either. I have only use with the battery to compare with the other 2 saws. It cuts very smoothly and has lots of power.

Terrible saw

I purchased this saw after reading lots of positive reviews and having great experiences with other Metabo HPT tools. However, this one is a complete dud. Out of the box, it required a couple of hours of getting it properly setup (the manual is good at describing how to). My first few cuts were great. However, after attempting to make some bevel and miter cuts, it wouldn’t reset back to 90 degrees (0 degree miter cut). After looking at the saw, the detents appear to be solid; however, the locking mechanism is extremely sloppy, leading to 1-2 degrees of play when locking the saw in any miter position (in or out of a decent). As a result, the saw is next to useless for making any accurate cut and is completely untrustworthy. The overall fit and finish of this saw is not great. The slide mechanism is quite rough, the table scratches up quickly, and seems slightly underpowered. For the retail price, this is not worthwhile at all and is severely overpriced for the quality of the product. On the positive side, the dust collection is better than average. With the convenience of battery power or the AC adapter, it would be a nice option for job site use that doesn’t require 100% accuracy.
