Metabo HPT 36V 4-Port Charger with USB Port & AC Outlets

Keeps the batteries big and small charged up to keep the work going. Appreciate the simulataneous fast charging for 18 & 36V batts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For a few years I’ve run two or three individual chargers for the 18 volt hitachi line up, with the advent of the 36 volt and there extending tool line up, this charger cleaned up the battery shelf, and with the no none sense light system it’s easy at a glance to see which powerpac is ready for a mission, I’ve used this extensively Over the past year and it is indispensable. I use the USB port and the 120volt outlet for other radio charging systems. It’s well worth the cost!!! And the charge on the 1.5 amp hour and 3 amp hour battery’s is shockingly fast!

Got this Metabo HPT 4-Port Power Plant to charge up my 18V and MultiVolt (18V/36V) batteries and I’m lovin’ it.  The charging technology is truly state-of-the-art, loaded with cooling fans and battery protection circuitry. The lit-up LED are cool too so I know which batteries are juiced up and ready to go. Really like the dual-charging modes as this seems to be the true product differentiator here:  When a tool is in high-demand use like at a job site or weekend backyard project and I need to refuel, I select the sequential mode to turbo-charge the battery in pole position port so its ready to go ASAP, followed by 2-4 slots. From extensive power duties in both framing (30 degree) and finishing (15 gauge) nail guns, I charged a completely drained 18V 3Ah compact battery in 25mins during lunch-break last weekend.  When things aren't as hectic, I'll select the simultaneous-mode, perfect for overnight fuel ups and top-off storage. The 4-port capacity is perfect for me as this is exactly how many Metabo HPT batteries I own. This allows me to store and organize so I don’t have to search for orphaned Metabo HPT batteries on my workbench or ones still-attached to tools. Don't block the intake/exhaust air vents on right/left sides. The form factor is cool and looks like a dark stronghold bunker. The handle is great and makes it easy to go portable. Nice that Metabo HPT designers spec-ed out USB charging ports  Can’t have enough of these especially with phone manufacturers (Apple/iPhone 12) cutting out chargers to go enviro.  Having the 2 extra 110V outlets is nice to have too.  I really dig this power plant and since it's pretty high tech, I’m going to protect it with a premium (probably Monster) surge protector in garage. The only wish I had is that Metabo HPT do an easy running-change on their packaging to drop in "(18V/36V)" after "MultiVolt™" Overall the packaging is clean, easy-to-read and feature rich, but it doesn't have 36V on anywhere and some consumers might not associate MultiVolt with 36V, yet.

This works so well and gives you the option to charge one battery at a time or all equally. I compared this to the Dewalt and Milwaukee compatible chargers on the job and the cooling fans on this one are situated perfectly to keep batteries cool as it charges, neither the Milwaukee or Dewalt had fans blowing directly in to each battery. Charges quick with two ac plugs to add another charger or plug in another device. USB ports to charge your phone or small tools. Very nice charger.
