Solid fitting to connect a fuel line to a new gas tank. Replace the fuel line when you buy a new tank as the O rings can be a problem over time. Make sure you line up the fitting with the threads as brass on plastic can strip easily.

A: No gasket needed, it’s a good idea to use some fuel grade sealant like Permatex 14 or equivalent. Basically, any sealant that is rated for fuel and won’t attach plastic or brass. Apply a thin layer of sealant to the threads, thread fitting in snugly, keeping in mind that if the fitting needs to be in a certain orientation to attach to mating part. Find proper location and once the fitting is getting snug, turn until proper orientation is achieved careful not to overtighten, threads in tank fitting could be stripped causing improper seal allowing fuel to leak.
