Q: plastic capped?
8 years agoA: McGard part number 24019 is a set of 4 wheel locks & 1 matching wheel lock key. The 4 wheel locks are open ended to be used on applications that the lug nuts are not exposed (there is usually a cap/cover covering all the lug nuts). The 24019 lock is is non-decorative and shorter so that it does not interfere when the cover goes back over the lug nuts. This set does NOT include plastic caps. If the lug nuts are being used on a wheel where the lugs are exposed, we do offer chrome and black lug nuts for most applications that are more decorative.

Q: does wheel lock removal sockets remove stripped lug nuts ?
13 years agoA: If the removal tool you are using has the correct diameter, there is a good chance that you can remove stripped lug nuts with it, however we cannot confirm this. You may want to verify with the removal tool company. If you have a stripped out wheel lock or wheel lock key, please contact the McGard customer service department at 1-800-444-5847 for assistance.
