Q: Will the Mastercraft 3500 watt generator run this Maximum 30L 5.5hp wet/dry vacuum?
4 years agoA: I had a quick look and there is no 3500W Mastercraft generator listed so the answer is "It Depends". The first thing is that the 5.5HP is meaningless since it uses a nonstandard measuring technique designed to give a large number. A standard 120V 15A circuit ( normal household plug ) can supply about 1700 Watts of continuous electrical power. At 90% efficiency ( really good) you get about 2.1HP.The second challenge is what is the real rating of the generator. You will generally see two numbers "starting" watts and a lower number of "running" watts. Starting is for a brief time while an electrical motor starts up. Running is for the continuous load on the circuit. The Mastercraft 5500W generator I found listed said 5500W running and 6875 Starting. So the 3500W gen set will probably be fine for any 120V 15A circuit vacuum no matter what they claim the HP is.

A: Nous l'utilisons pour nettoyer la fournaise aux granules. Emmagasine vraiment la poussière grâce au sac. Nous le changeons juste aux années vu l'utilisation saisonnière et hebdomadaire.

Q: There is a small chain attached to the bottom of the vacuum. What is it for? I haven't been able to find any mention of it in the manual.

4 years agoA: 90 CFM at end of hose 82" lift at end of hose. I have not used it wet, so far, but fabulous vac for what I have had to use it for.

Q: The float gets sucked up immediately when the cartridge filter is installed and produces no suction. Does the filter basket need to be removed for dry vacuuming use?
5 years agoA: I saw the "remove HEPA" filter for dry comment and that makes no sense. Per the EPA definition found here https://www.epa.gov/indoor-air-quality-iaq/what-hepa-filter HEPA is a rating for pleated mechanical air filter. It specifies how fine dust particles have to be before they aren't removed by the filter from the air stream. A HEPA filter that can only be used when sucking up water makes no sense since its for dry conditions.

8 years agoA: I use it to suck up gravel . I do not use a bag for this job. Just the filter.
