This air hose holder is constructed from heavy-duty metal for long-lasting durability. The 360° swivel base allows the compressor hose reel to be used in any direction. The hose guide bar on this air compressor hose reel allows for smooth winding of the hose, while the foldable handle provides convenient storage. Sturdy legs provide support on uneven ground. The polyurethane air hose is lightweight and ideal for roofing projects. Its smooth, non-marring finish is great for indoor trim work where scratching surfaces can be a problem. The hose is flexible in any weather condition, including temperatures of -34 to 65° C (-30 to 150° F). Bend restrictors help prevent kinking and twisting, providing greater resilience. The manual operation allows you to rewind the air hose easily. Great air hose reel. Wish it had not been replaced by a different model as the old one is better in my opinion than the new plastic one. Only loses a star as they no longer come with the fittings to attach to the compressor and your tools.

This is one of those products that just wasn’t thoroughly thought out. It’s very light so unless mounted as soon as you try to pull some hose the base moves first. It also has a swiveling base that can’t be “locked” into a stationary position so when you try to reel in the hose it just turns freely. One needs to hold the cage while turning the crack. This means you can’t guide the hose as it’s reeled in. Perhaps this should have been marketed under the Mastercraft brand as it falls a little short of the usual Maximum quality I’ve come to know. Still I think it was an excellent purchase considering the sale price.

Buy RUBBER! (Not this one.)

The reference to "rubber" in the description is to the rubber feet on the reel. That's just silly. The hose may be fine for a lightweight hobbyist, but do yourself a favour and buy a 100% rubber hose. CT doesn't even stock a quality rubber hose, so look elsewhere if you have time. I did buy CT's rubber hose, but only because I needed it to replace an ancient failed rubber hose.

This doesn't come close to comparing favorably to a professional air hose, but it's probably okay for a hobbyist. It's certainly much better than the other hoses stocked by CT. If I hadn't needed it to replace a failed hose immediately, I would have kept looking.
