    Pretty good, lasted 3 years

I have had the drill for about 3 years. It has been pretty good overall. Love the 2 speeds with variable speed control. I use the lower speed more often to mix paint, mud, grout, etc. A few times, I used it to mix cement. I did okay, but you would be better off using a low-gear mixing drill for that; this one is okay for smaller batches under 2-3 gallons and runny. I mostly use it at the high speed setting for drilling or as a hammer drill. It does the job fine, but you must ensure you do not overheat the drill bits. I have ruined a few, especially smaller ones, under 3/8 in diameter. I never use the chuck key holder. I attach the key with a piece of paracord to the end of the power cord, closer to the power plug, so that the key never gets lost. I find changing between high and low gear challenging sometimes. The locking mechanism gets stiff, and you need to wiggle it and push harder to change the gears. Lately, the drill started smelling like burnt wires. I cannot find a receipt. Not sure if I can claim warranty without it.

    So far so good

Only used it for a few job but it has performed perfectly so far. Lots of power. Drilling into concrete without any issues. That is, with quality bits. Very happy with it.

Had it for about two years. Used about six times. Worked flawlessly. No complaints. Lots of torque. Recommend using “T” handle provided and hearing protection.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Works great!

Bought this a few months ago. I really wanted an air impact but do not have an air compressor yet so I bought this in the mean time. This electric impact has a ton of torque and is probably over kill for what I needed. It works very well and feels like it has more power than any air impact I have ever used.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Can it be used as a driver?

    1 Answer
    • A: The drill can be used as a driver, but it does not have torque control settings that would allow you to control the depth of the item that is being driven. It does have a speed control trigger that can be utilized for drilling. Over all, yes it can, but you may not get the desired results.

Q: What do you think of this as a mortar mixer? will it stand up to mixing mortar. This was on sale cheaper than the mortar mixer and I figure I could use the versatility of a hammer drill over a mortar mixer.

    1 Answer
    • A: This item is not recommended for a mortar mixer. A low gear item like 54-1343 is the right tool for this job.
