Bought as an upgrade to stubby mastercraft auger bits but these are useless. Flute profile without a cutting edge meant that the screw tip pulled it in 10mm then stopped and didn't chip the wood at all

Stem too big for some drills. Works best with impact. Same size flat bit cuts a slightly smaller hole.

Auger is dull. Should be sharp just like the one being used on the manual (not automatic) auger.

Q: What do I use to put these on an impact driver? They do not fit standard 1/4 impact drivers. And it would be slow switching out between sizes when using keyless chuck. And I don't have a impact rated keyless chuck.

A: The shank size of 054-3775 was 7/16", which fits in 7/16" quick change chuck, not for 1/4" quick change connect chuck.
