This is a high-quality air compressor. Its square shape and surprisingly light weight adds to its portability. Another convenience is that it has two air output connectors so two can use the tank at the same time. Bought on sale so excellent value.

Q: Hi, can this air compressor be powered by Ford F350 interior 110v power outlet? I'm going to buy an air compressor for winterizing my RV, but there is no residential power source in RV storage site. Or do you have any recommendation for my requirment? TXS

A: The Maximum 6 Gallon Finishing Air Compressor (Model No. 058-1291-4) power requirements are 120 Volts, 60hz, 12 Amps. Unless your power converter in your vehicle can support this output, it will not run this compressor. Please check your vehicle’s owner’s manual to verify the converter’s output capacity. An alternative would be to use a stand-alone generator that can provide the stated power requirements.

A: The Maximum 6 Gallon Finishing Air Compressor (Model No. 058-1291-4) is designed to be used for standard household inflation needs and support the compressed air requirements for small air tools and accessories such as a 3/8” air ratchet, finish nailers, air staplers, etc. The applications you refer to in your question would require the use of a ½” air impact wrench. These types of air tools require significantly higher air flow (approx. 4.0 CFM at 90 PSI). This air compressor will run these tools but only intermittently. Which means you will be waiting for the air compressor to refill the tank to power your tool. For best results with an air impact wrench, a larger air compressor is recommended, such as the Maximum 5 Gallon Framing and Roofing Air Compressor (Model No. 058-1293-0) or larger.

A: This compressor puts out 2.8 CFM @ 90 PSI. and 3.7 CFM @ 40 PSI. Your impact could work but it may not be as strong as it could be if getting the full air it requires.
