Needed to exchange. But still worth it.

Good quality BUT the one I got didn’t hold the PSI when set below 50. I exchanged it for the Maximum 4 Gallon 1Hp whisper compressor.

So far the compressor has been great. I have used it to build a 38 x 44 x 12 shop with two air nailers. Runs my impact to take off 140 ft/lb torqued wheel nuts with no problem (does need to build pressure after two-three nuts). Air sprayer and many tire fill ups. Drain the water from the tank after using for a day with heavy use or every month with light use. A great deal when its on sale.

OK, but won't last

I decided to wait a year to really see if this unit stood the test of time before commenting as I have had bad experiences with CT compressors before that just don't last. Glad I did, because as suspected, it failed just after a year. The pressure adjustment mechanism is very flimsy on this unit and it will not hold up. The good news, it's covered by a three year warranty, the bad news, just try and find where to get it serviced. The store i bought it from gave me a number to call which was useless. After a lot of my own searching on the internet, I finally found what to do, but seriously, finding a warranty centre shouldn't be that difficult. The funniest part was emailing Canadian Tire for help and receiving 42 automated email responses "we got your inquiry".

Works well for Roofing

I was looking for a oiless higher end compressor for roofing that could handle two guns. This does the trick nicely and works well on cold days. It's relatively easy to move around on wheels but not to heavy if you have to manhandle it either. (bit heavier than your standard 2hp dual tank Hitachi/Emglo etc. Happy with the purchase and a great deal when on sale.

Q: I agree with Horseonaboat, should it be necessary to ask for CFM? I was looking at this compressor today and no CFM numbers. Took a chance someone may have asked in Questions and 3 years ago it was asked: still not fixed (on your top tier MAXIMUM brand)

A: The CFM at 40 PSI is 5.0 and the CFM at 90 PSI is 4.0. We will work with Canadian Tire to determine how this can be added to the product page.
