I'm happy with it

The only issue I have with the saw is the grip. I have small hands and it's a little hard to get a good grip.

Power and versatile

Very versatile as it is easier to handle and a standard circular saw. Also, the ability to do plunge cuts is very helpful as well.

bad handle ergo

The handle shape coupled with the safety protocol and the trigger which is to big is awkward to use and cutting one handed on the vertical awkward to release the trigger because it's to big and you have to almost release the entire handle to make happen... the trigger should be sized for the index finger plus half only

No, I do not recommend this product.

3-3/8ths. maximum circular saw

I bought a few days ago and used it today. Don't care for the safety feature to push down the table sled feature . I had to tie mine up so it permanent. Also don't care for the safety feature on the trigger. Other wise it cut really good. It will only be used for thin material 3/4" or thinner.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Big handle

Very powerful tool. As a woman, even with big hands I find the handle a little big to use properly. The on trigger is long, so even when I am done my cut my hand is still on the trigger holding on to dear life not to drop the saw. The trigger should have been at the front of the handle, smaller for ease to let go without dropping the tool.

Q: Can I use 4.5 in. diameter of the blade ?

  • A: No! Such a blade would never fit. There is little scope for deviating from the prescribed 3.375 inches.

Q: How do I release the base plate to change blades? MAXIMUM 4A Heavy-Duty Compact Circular Saw, 3-3/8-in

2 Answers
  • A: The base plate does not need to be removed to change blades. In order to remove/replace the blades: 1) Press and hold the blade lock on the opposite (right) side of the blade housing 2) Using an Allen key, turn to the right to loosen the screw (it is reverse-threaded) at the center of the blade 3) Remove screw and washer 4) Press depth adjusting metal tab in and press the base plate up 5) CAREFULLY lift and remove blade 6) Replace with new blade and secure with washer and screw

Q: No instructions on what polarity direction button batteries for laser guide. Which direction do the button batteries for the laser guide go in? Tried all orientations and laser doesn't work.

2 Answers
  • A: The instructions state that the saw comes with the batteries installed. They are not installed, but they come in the package. The instructions do not explain the polarity direction for installation of the batteries, and it is not intuitive (at least for me). Finally figured it out: one faces negative out, the other faces negative in. Then the laser worked.
