I bought this a few days ago. It looks like a high quality tool and should serve me well. i will use it mainly for E bike stuff. My 2 quibbles are the instruction manual does not come in a PDF format, paper tends to get lost and curled in the case and the large plastic case has no spots / indents for 1/4 drive bits.

If you’re looking for a low (less than 20) torque precision tool, then it’s for you. I looked around for a torque wrench all around the internet and anything that I found where in accurate, one of the tools even damaged my machine because it was so off…
Luckily I came across this tool that met my need of less than 10 torque. The tool worked as expected. :)

Q: I bought this today 5/14/21. Have couple of questions - the piece i got was made in 2018...i am very surprised to get this old unit...not sure if this was returned... also the calibration was also done in 2018 ...so does it mean it is out of calibration?

A: Hi, I too got an old unit, covered in dust hanging in the store. I was wondering the same thing so I took it to the tool truck and tested it. It wasn’t out of calibration, however you have to bear in mind the accuracy toleration advertised with the tool + - 2ft/LB and in fact mine was 2 high, so I’d suggest being conservative when torquing small bolts into soft metals like aluminum.

Q: Where to get this calibrated? It requires special software and cable to enter the calibration info. Mechanir was unhelpful.

Q: If it says it does reverse direction, does that mean it can measure how much force it takes to unscrew a nut/bolt?

A: The reverse direction is for reverse thread bolts. A torque wrench is a tightening tool not a loosening tool. It should never be used to unscrew a fastener.

Q: Where can you get this thing calibrated? It seems like it has to use a wire to connect to something to calibrate rather than change settings on the wrench itself.

A: Canadian Tire does not offer this service. Some small engine or auto shops may offer this service in your area.

Q: Very hard time to open the battery cap, does anybody know how to open it, the instructions does not have any precise instruction, just turn cap to the right align with the arrows. Still cant open it i am damaging it as i try to open it anybody can help o

A: - This product is made in Taiwan. - Press and hold “U/S” button to get to the mode selection. There are 2 modes: Track and Peak hold. This wrench does not have an angle function.
