Right tool for the right price!

Satisfied with this purchase, and looking for more projects to do with it. We have a 7 gallon 1.5hp compressor, and it mostly keeps up. Beats painting with rollers/brushes, especially for uneven surfaces. It will produce a fine dust of paint if used indoors, and it often takes 2-3 passes to get the proper finish. Our 2000psi airless sprayer was faster and applied a thicker coat, but also had more wastage and was more fussy to work with. Overall, I think this will be used more than the airless.

Q: I read that it can not be used with interior latex paints. Can you tell me why? Can I not thin the paint with water as you would with any other sprayer?

A: I have used with multiple different paints and stains and have just diluted it with water - I believe it is the viscosity of the paint that results in the recommendation. It's an amazing little spray gun, just needs to be cleaned well after each use and it will work for years

Q: Will a smaller compressor 3CFM @40 PSI; 2CFM @ 90 PSI be sufficient to run the spray gun for small projects such as painting an entrance door (18 sq ft area)?
