Q: I just purchased this set, but opening can't help wonder where pieces 12 and 13 are. (The two replacement 1/4 inch replacement bits) Where are they? Model/version: 20190225

A: I completely agree... I spent 20 minutes looking everywhere for the 2 extra pilot bits that it was suppose to come with. "Replacement" means "extra" "spare" "the ones you use to 'replace' the ones already in the mandrels when they break." This is clearly misleading advertising and I am not happy about it. If they call the bits already in the mandrels, they might as well call the set screws "pieces" as well.

A: Step 1 - clamp the mandrel in a vice, refer to image-1; Step 2 - insert two screwdrivers into the ejection holes of the hole saw, refer to image-2; Step 3 - turn the screwdrivers counterclockwise, refer to image-2. Please kindly note that the "counterclockwise " direction refers to the direction opposite to the fastening direction when the mandrel is mounted on the hole saw. For keep safe, please remind the consumer to wear impact-resistant safety goggles that comply with CSA safety codes. Do not use too much force to operate.

Q: Is this set good to cut additional faucet holes (1 1/4") thru stainless steel kitchen sink?

A: The set (sku 054-7930）couldn't cut faucet hole (1 1/4") because the set has no 1 1/4“specification. We suggest to use the sku 054-7914 to cut faucet holes (1 1/4") thru stainless steel kitchen sink basing on the below conditions: (1 ) The operated speed should not be greater than 140r / min when cutting the 1 1 / 4 " hole; (2 ) When cutting into metal, use cutting oil to keep the blade cool and extend blade life; (3 ) Cutting stainless steel less than 2mm thick .

Q: Different Quality steel than other Mastercraft saws? Can you tell me if these Hole saws are the same quality as the 15 piece Mastercraft Hole saw kit? I notice that these have Blue printing on the saw blades, but the other 15 piece Bi metal kit has red printing on the saw blades. Thanxs!

A: The two set of hole saws (054-7914 and 054-7930) are of the same quality steel. And both sets have blue printing on saw blades. 054-7914 has recently changed to blue printing on the product and a new image will be updated shortly.
