It shoots pins when it works

Marks the wood when it did work. Put it away for winter and it decided not to fire. I fixed it the first time and now over winter the next year and the o rings in the trigger are shot, with no way for replacements that a 30 minute google search could find in Canada. 1.7x2 o rings from the uk are not worth Ordering. Will go to princess auto from now on as they don’t have as many exclusions on replacements of bad kit.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Pin Nailer

Nailed It! This nailer works great. Small enough for tight spaces and has great penetration strength for finished laminates. Grab some nails/pins, sadly, they don’t come with the unit.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 5 of 5 Questions

Q: I have a pin nailer by mastercraft and the operators manual isn't clear about how you put the nails in the machine. The number is 058-8122-6? Would appreciate a more detailed explanation on how to put fastners in the nailer. I have done what the manual staes but can not see where you put the fasteners. A detailed picture would have helped. Very poor manual...HELP

    • A: Yes the manual is pretty much useless. If you release the loading mechanism at the bottom of the nailer, you will see the nail holder/cover slide down and away. On the bottom the nailer, you will see a thin narrow slot that was covered previously. You can insert the nails here (with the nailer upside down). Insert the nails and slide up towards the head of the nailer. Once inserted, slide the nail cover back up over the nails and you should be ready to fire. Do not the load gun while connected to the compressor!!

Q: Would this be suitable (1") for installing 5/16" pine plank paneling on a ceiling?

    1 Answer
    • A: More information is needed to answer your question. The 058-8122 can shoot with nail from ½” to 1", if you want to install 5/16" pine plank on the ceiling, the vendor must know the thickness of the ceiling (what’s the material of the celling), then they can tell what is the best length of nail to apply on.
