My mom used once and I have since used it twice, the second time it was on maybe 10 minutes and the handle hot (you know, when your phone gets hot)
Since it has to be plugged in to use, there is no other way to use it.
I am returning it for a full refund.

Very bright and useful. High colour temperature. The hanging ring is a bit awkward to use but the light is great. Folds over for close work below.

Cord position poor idea

Unit seems will built and is bright enough to see under a vehicle. My issue, (and one I won't be able to get over) is the position of the cord. the cord comes out the back of the light. So when you are under a car trying to point the light up, by laying it flat on the ground, it falls either to the left or right (and always to the side that is directly in your eyes for some reason, blinding you because the led lights are actually really good). If the cord came out the bottom like the usual trouble light it wouldn't be an issue. But this tip over "feature" is one that doesn't work for me. If laying this flat isn't a thing you plan on doing I would suggest getting this light as it very bright and seems like it is built properly. And this is my fault because it does show the cord position on the box but I didn't even think about it being an issue.
No, I do not recommend this product.

This is a very functional light. The cord length is good, it's plenty bright, it articulates nicely and hangs where you need to hang it. Even better if you get it on sale.
