Its variable speed lets you choose the right pace for the material, while the tool-free blade change enables swift swaps for uninterrupted work. An integrated LED light brightens shadowy spaces and the bevel shoe adjusts for angled cuts. The package includes an orbital jigsaw, wood cutting jigsaw blade, straight edge guide, and hex key.
Features a variable speed range of 800-3,000 SPM to match the speed to the job at hand
Shoe tilts at 15°, 30°, and 45° left and right for bevel cuts and positive stops at 0° and 45°
Cutting capacity: 3-11/32 inches (85 mm) in wood and 1/4 inch (6 mm) in metal
Oversized trigger switch with pass-through "lock-on" button for greater comfort and reduced fatigue during extended use

I used this jigsaw for many uses, and the part which locked the blade suddenly snapped.
Comments saying it's hard to keep the cutting straight are right.
I am returning it tomorrow.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Will this jigsaw, with a proper blade be able to cut 4.5mm thick plexiglass? I found some Diablo blades specific for plexiglass so wondering if this has the power to cut it.

A: Jigsaw definitely has the power. Clamp down tight. I found even with other wood the vibration will sometimes split or splinter whatever you are cutting

A: No it is not meant for that. You will need a tile cutter or wet saw. Can Tire always has them on sale.

Q: Variable speed trigger or just circular selector ? Is the variable speed controlled directly from the trigger (ie: variable speed trigger button, more you press, faster it goes), or just a dial on the top which you select speed and the trigger is only on/off at the speed selected ?

A: the answer mastercraft gave is wrong, the trigger is just on and off the speed is controlled by a dial

A: My version does have a dust blower, it has a switch on the side to redirect air if desired. bought it on sale half price in Dec 2016.

A: I just bought one of these and it has a LED light to light your work built into it. Not a laser. also has blade storage compartment built in as well. nice unit for price.

A: No, they will not fit. You need to buy jig saw blades for the jig saw.

Q: How to changr a blade in my mastercraft orbital jigsaw

A: You can reference to “Installing & Removing the Saw Blade” on page 13 in the manual, reverse the order of the instruction. 1. Unplug the jigsaw from the power supply. 2. Turn the tool upside down; depress the tool-less blade clamp to remove the original blade and insert the new blade into the slot of the clamp as far as it can go. The back of the blade must rest in the groove of the guide roller 3. Release the tool-less blade clamp to lock the blade. Pull on the new blade to check that it is securely locked in place.
