Mastercraft 3/8-in Stubby Pneumatic Air Ratchet, 240RPM

Product Details

The Mastercraft 3/8-in Stubby Air Ratchet is designed to quickly and efficiently remove stubborn lug nuts during general automotive or workshop assembly work. Lightweight and air-powered, this stubby impact wrench has a short shape, allowing it to access narrow areas which cannot be reached by a standard impact wrench. Powerful and robust, this air ratchet delivers up to 26 ft-lb of torque (240 RPM) for removing and installing nuts, bolts, and spark plugs. The ergonomic rubber grip helps to reduce hand fatigue during extended use of the air tool, while hardened planetary gears reduce friction. This air impact wrench has a ball socket retainer for positive socket retention and a forward/reverse switch which allows you to go from tightening a nut or bolt to removing it quickly. A screened inlet prevents dirt particles from entering the air intake, keeping the ratchet clean. This product includes an air-powered stubby ratchet, a 1/4” NPT plug, and a bottle of oil.

    Garbage

With minimal use it worked for less than 12 months and stopped turning, just blowing air. I took it apart to try and fix it, but couldn't find the problem. It was sufficiently lubricated.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: According to the description, this wrench is "ideal for tire changing". Surely they're not suggesting that this little 3/8" stubby air ratchet is ideal for removing and installing wheel nuts on a car, so in what scenario is it ideal for tire changing?

Q: How do you connect the air hose? The supplied quick air hose connect is much to large fit the end of the impact wrench. The impact wrench isn't even threaded to accept an air hose connection. What is wrong?
