Q: So this product boasts having a reversing switch. Which I assumed meant that it could be used counter clockwise in removal applications. I'm having a really really hard time trying to get it to go lefty loosy. Anyone know how?

A: The option to reverse the rotation of the head is to allow applying torque to left hand thread fasteners. Using a torque instrument to attempt to loosen a fastener will cause damage to the torque mechanism and diminish it's calibration accuracy very quickly.

A: Wheel nuts or bolts usually call for a torque value of say 50 foot pounds and up depending on the specific torque requirement from the vehicle's manufacturer. This torque wrench is rated for a maximum torque of 250 inch pounds which translates to less than 21 foot pounds. It is simply inadequate to use for wheel fasteners.

A: I believe the customer is asking how far does the handle move before it engages the ratchet? 5 degrees?, 15 degrees?, 45 degrees? This would depend on the number of teeth the ratchet has.

A: The direction of head rotation can be reversed by: Holding square drive tang or socket attached to drive tang with one hand. With the other hand, turn the dial on top of the ratchet head (which is located opposite the drive tang) either clockwise or counterclockwise (depending on the desired ratchet direction).
