Mastercraft 20V Cordless Heat Gun, Tool

Does heat up fast, but not hot enough and has NO heat setting, the unit max out within 20 to 30 minutes of continuous usage with a 2.0 aH battery. Bought due to the cost of the unit compared to other brands, use for small jobs suitable for my purpose and depending on individual needs.

Great little heat gun

Got this to replace an old corded heat gun, and I already had a couple of PWR POD batteries. I really love that the batteries are interchangeable. Using the heat gun cordless ws a big help when applying heat shrink tubing. The attachment heat shield for this task was really helpful. Great little heat gun!

Convenient but not what I expected.

I definitely wanted this tool for a while. Don’t get me wrong, it works exactly as it’s supposed to; it just doesn’t have the blowing capacity I thought it would. I find that because of its lower ability to blow hot air around, jobs take longer. However, it’s great for when you don’t want to plug in extension cords.

A: I believe there are adapters available to connect DeWalt batteries to Mastercraft tools. Check amazon / ebay / aliexpress / etc.

A: Yes will work with any "Mastercraft" batteries , will accept larger 4.0 batteries as well, may want to consider a larger battery as 1.5 does not las long

Q: Re 20V Heat Gun. My wired heat gun is far more powerful than my mid-power hair dryer, but surprisingly, this unit is far less. I know that a lower Ah 20VMAX battery won't last long, but still, shouldn't this work better a than a hair dryer?

A: Yes, I was also disappointed with the lack of capability with this heat gun. For big jobs I still use my corded heat gun.

Q: Third attempt to get info: What is the diameter of the output of the reducing (a.k.a. concentrating) nozzle ? (Hint: the value "35mm" given as the answer to my previous question is the diameter of the output of the *main tool*, not the concentrator.)

A: Hi there! The nozzle on this Heat Gun it to be used only for the Mastercraft 20V Cordless Heat Gun and should not be used on any other tool. Modification of this tool in anyway is not recommended. Thank you!
