Q: Are you able to secure a 10" Mastercraft mitre saw on it?

A: I use two of these with a 1/2 inch piece of plywood as my outdoor workbench. So far I've used a compound mitre saw, portable router table, thickness planer, and benchtop grinder on it all with no problem. For the grinder, I always clamp the plywood because of the vibration. I've also used many hand tools as well as just the supports to hold larger products. Even though they are lightweight, they can hold a lot. I've even sat on one while having a coffee and I weight 300 lbs.

Q: what is the little 3" cable at the bottom of one leg for?

A: I believe it's so when you open the legs, you have something to pull up on to get the legs to deploy since they're tucked in tight when folded.

A: Good luck. I had them let my load of 2X4 crashing to the floor. What you need to do to make them stable means fixed length solid bracing that will negate their ability to be stored as intended.

Q: Are they really only 30 something inches high? Or is that just the packaging size? Seems like you'd have to work hunched over.

Q: Whats the gold spring on one end for? What's the gold spring on one end for? Other reviewers suggest that its to link two together but the two ends do not slide together. Am I missing something? How do you link them if this is the purpose?

A: To clip together when folded. For storage or carrying. Not to clip together when using them.

A: They list individual, and 2pk. Indy is $39.99, a pair is $49.99. You need two for most jobs, so get the pair.
