Great Little Unit

Fits perfectly for my needs. Good size ie not a space hog. Fill time is reasonably good. A bit loud, but it’s a compressor. I expect that. Recommended. Wish it came with hose included.

Nice compressor for the money

Works great. Got in on clearance so the price was great (not sure I would pay full price). Noise is very reasonable, about as loud as you would expect a compressor of this size to be. Big enough for garage operations but all enough to wheel around if you need it for remote work. Comes with absolutely nothing though, so you better have your own set-up already.

First unit failed after only a couple of hours use. Second lasted longer but failed with smoke and smell that lingered for days.
Returned under warrenty which was a refund. Problem is this compressor now sells for doule the price. For that price I found better quality elsewhere.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: The online manual for 15g air comp. 299-9012-8 pg. 15 electrical caution indicates full cap. of a dedicated 12A circuit. The power rating for comp. is listed at 14A. Will at 12A circuit with a 15A Circuit Breaker be sufficient to run compressor?

Q: Is this unit suitable for outdoor storage/use? Example: if I am using it all day/most of the day, can I leave it outside the garage while I work indoors because of the noise? Can the unit be outside in the rain, or does it need to be covered?

A: This air compressor can be used in outside but should meet below requirements Store/use the air compressor in a clean and dry location This air compressor is not designed for continuous operation or unlimited commercial operations and you can use a Sound Insulation Ear Muffs to block the noise if you decide to use this machine all day/most of the day. Please see page 10 and 18 of the manual for more details on product usage and storage.

Q: Will this compressor work for an irrigation blow out?

A: For 299-9012, its working pressure is 120-150psi and air flow is 5.5cfm@40psi & 4.0cfm@90psi. The compressor could work for the irrigation blow out with the same spec.

A: The noise level (dB) is 100dB. The duty cycle is fill time is 330S. Here is how to determine the year the model was made: It can be judged from the data label, for example, 9828-5102018, "5" means Friday, "10" means the 10th week, "2018" means the year. This product has the same motor as 299-9011-0 (8 Gallon Vertical).
