The Mastercraft 1/4-HP Clog Resistant Utility Pump offers automatic operation through electronic water detectors, improving the process of maintaining water levels. Designed for temporary installation, this electric utility pump is ideal for removing water from any shallow indoor or outdoor flood. Powered by a water-cooled, oil-free 1/4 HP motor, this submersible utility pump has a maximum flow rate of 1800 GPH (6,814 L/h). Thermoplastic construction lends durability to this utility sink pump by helping to prevent rusting and corrosion. A flexible rubber impeller eliminates clogging in this utility water pump, and a funnel-shaped double flow channel diffuser provides superior performance. The 1” (2.5cm) NPT discharge has a garden hose adaptor for easy installation. A hose (sold separately) may be required in order to install the utility pump. This product includes a 10’ (3m) power cord.

Q: Does this pump come with a drainage hose to transfer the unwanted water away, or are there more accessories required before using this? If I need a drainage hose, what size do I need? I'm looking to remove excess stagnant water from our backyard.
3 years agoA: Does not come with a drainage hose, but has the adaptor so you can affix a std. garden hose onto it for that purpose.

4 years agoA: This pump works when it is in 1 1/2 “ or more of water. When it gets below that it shuts off until the water gets higher again or you move it.

Q: Would this pump be able to pump RV Plumbing Antifreeze into RV lines through a less than 6 foot hose?
2 years agoA: I'm unsure about pumping RV Antifreeze. 6 foot hose is nothing to these pumps. I use mine to pump laundry sink water out using a 50 foot hose and a height of 5 feet.

Q: Can this be used to drain an outdoor hot tub (5 feet deep).
3 years agoA: Hi Jetranger, Thank you for your question! This pump is designed for use with water at a maximum temperature of 95°F（35℃）and minimum of 32°F(0℃). Maximum Head lift at 0 flow is 26 feet.

Q: As this pump automatically turns on and off. Is it ok to leave it plugged in overnight so that it will continue to work. In theory, provided the outside temp is warm I should be able leave it plugged in for multiple days. Is that correct?
5 years agoA: Answer: Yes, you can leave this plugged in and rely on the water sensing switch to turn it on and off as water is present. Although it is not recommended as a permanent long term sump pump installation, we would recommend a sump pump with a float switch for a permanent installation.
