Bought this in early December, found it to be very handy in that you can adjust where it sits in the pot as it has a bracket that easily adjusts thermometer to different levels as needed.

I had to take apart to engage the battery. When using was awkward to stir around the thermometer. I washed, got water inside the battery compartment and now doesn't work

Works great until it gets wet

A recent purchase, it worked very well a few times then began showing incorrect values once a bit of moisture got on the face. I guess if you cook onl dry stuff then you have no problems ;) but this thermometer will fail you if you use it around liquids. The electronics in the head are not safe fro water, even vapor. I suggest a different thermometer.
No, I do not recommend this product.
