Défectueuse après moins de deux ans, sûrement un problème au niveau du circuit électrique. Elle se met à chauffer automatiquement dès qu’on la branche, sans qu’on appuie sur le bouton. Elle ne sonne plus lorsque le café est terminé et il faut la débrancher immédiatement sinon elle surchauffe et c’est dangereux.

Good concept, failed product.

I see this product has been discontinued in most Cdn Tire Stores now. I just replaced my unit with a different brand. I had really wanted a stainless thermal pot type machine, as I am not fond of the taste of cooked coffee. But as one of your reviewers point out, perhaps the carafe is not vacuumed sealed, or maybe mine didn't take, because the coffee would always be too cold.
When I had houseguests, everyone lined up to microwave their cup, which rather defeats the purpose. The insulated pots we have at work keep it hot for hours. I don't know how the warmer was supposed to work.
And like the other reviewers it was constantly choking before finishing brewing. I have softened water, and do live in a area of hard water. Seemed every month it required a vinegar cycle to work. I agree also the carafe was difficult to pour from. I would have paid double for a better engineered product.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Not worth 40$

I got this unit from the clearance table and was not in a box. It was missing a part that allows the valve on the lid to be pressed down to allow coffee from the maker to enter the pot. So i need to remove the lid of the pot to make coffee. As well the coffee is warm not hot. This is even after i prewarm the metal pot with hot water.

A: Yes the coffee stays hot for a few hours. I’ve poured a cup after lunch and it was only slightly cooler than the one I had after breakfast. I did not need to warm it up.

Q: Purchased this coffee maker 6 months ago. No longer keeps coffee hot nor does it brew a full pot of coffee. We have been quite happy with this coffee maker unit this happened. Is there a warranty on this coffee maker?

A: When coffee is finished brewing, the coffee can reach around 75℃. The coffee will be kept warm by the thermal carafe itself. This is different from the glass carafe. The coffee you get will be less than the water you have added, as some water is absorbed by the coffee grounds. There will be 1 year warranty for this coffee maker.

Q: When the coffee finishes brewing, the machine beeps and shuts down so the heat element shuts off and I can't figure out how to get it to stay on so the coffee stays hot. I'm sure this is something simple so am looking for help. Thanks.

A: Hello, no need to keep the coffee maker on. This comes with a thermal carafe so the coffee will stay warm.

A: Hello, It is the thermal carafe that helps keep your coffee warm. It takes about 23 hours for the coffee in the thermal carafe to cool (room temp. 25℃).
