The 4-Burner Grill Turismo Propane BBQ with Convertible Valve System from MASTER Chef has everything you need to create great meals. Featuring 650 sq. in of total cooking surface and four burners supplying 48,000 BTUs of flavour-inducing power, this unit is sure to meet all of your grilling expectations. This sturdy BBQ grill can hold up to 28 burgers, so you can cook for a big crowd with ease. The even-heating system with stainless steel burners and porcelain cast iron cooking plates work together to distribute consistent heat across the entire grilling surface while reducing flare-ups. An electric push-button ignition allows the barbecue to fire up instantly and an upper-level warming rack provides a place to heat buns and keep foods toasty. Stainless steel side shelves offer a convenient area for prepping your food and storing your cooking tools. The Convertible Valve System enables easy conversion of this propane model to natural gas (conversion kit sold separately). Note: This item comes unassembled in its packaging. I bought this on sale and really wanted to like it. The reviews were great and the price was phenomenal. I purchased it,brought it home and started to assemble it. The whole kit had a "cheap" feel to it. It felt ilke it wouldnt last more than a year before it rusts away. But i was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. Until I found that the rear base of the burner box had a faulty weld. The rear base tilted in slightly. I could still get it on the cart so I didn't worry until the back piece couldn't fit. Short of beating on the steel burner box I could not get the piece in. I called Masterchef consumer support and he recommended I return to the store as they can't send a replacement burner box, as would be be understandable. When I called Canadian Tire they agreed to accept my return of a half assembled bbq for a refund, which I was happy about. But I the end I decided tonexchange for a Vida Paderno,a bit more expensive but the quality is so much better!!!
I don't think I will be bothering with master chef again. It seems very very poor quality.
No, I do not recommend this product.

All you need...

So far so good. I didn't need a side burner or any other side feature since I never used it at all on my old grill. Those just add to cost. This is all you need, basic and not too small, and not too large. Hopefully it will last me a few years. Nice to know that there's replacement grates for this grill. Some no name bbqs won't be around in 5 years when you start to look for parts. The top grate could be better.

Bought it and when assembling notice it was bent. Exchanged it for a new one. Had the same problem. After getting it together notices the doors are uneven also missing screws.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: the turismo bbq lights the main burner but the others are hit and miss - what am i doing wrong?

A: Thanks for your question. If one or more burners are not lighting or experiencing low flame when all burners are lit and set to HIGH temp, the most common issue is low pressure in the regulator hose. This can occur if you have a leak or poor connection somewhere between the BBQ and tank, or if the proper lighting sequence was not followed. We can correct the issue by 1) Conduct a Regulator Flow Limiting Device Reset. The steps can be found on page 7 of the safety manual. Here is a link to the manual. http://www.masterchefbbqs.com/en/manuals/Master_Chef_SafetyandCare_E.pdf. Repeat these steps twice just to make sure you have followed along correctly. 2) perform a leak test at the propane connection to the BBQ, 3) make sure it is not an ignition issue and try to light the other burners with a BBQ lighter.

A: For the convertible ones that come with a certain logo on them, you can but a kit and convert them FROM propane TO natural gas. The kit contains a long hose (without a regulator), a tool to remove the nozzles, and a Philips driver to turn an screw on each burner's valve.
