Not very clear!

Used yesterday in about 40ft water lucky if I could see 5in front of camera.what the point of having 50ft cable and lights if you can't see anything?I have a cheap camera that has led and ir that is clearer but shorter cable that why I figured I would upgrade but not really an upgrade if not doing the job it made for!

Visible in daylight and clear water. Led light will spook fish and not much clear. Would suggest ir light if fishing night or deeper water. Package comes with sla battery not lithium a bit heavy to carry.

Marcum 485c worth the money and good in low light

The Marcum camera came well packed and feels heaven enough that it will last for many years. The picture is clear and all the controls are easy to use. Entire unit fits inside a bucket for easy traveling while ice fishing.

Q: What is the length of the cord attached to Camera I understand that quality of picture is according to clarity of water but nothing stating what the maximum distance you can get to is.

A: As per the Vendor of this product and manual, The depth of field (distance the camera can see underwater) depends on the clarity of the water and available light at the depth the camera is used. In clear water, the depth of field can be many feet but in cloudy or muddy water the depth of view can be reduced to only a few inches due to particles suspended in the water. Dirty or muddy water and/or low light penetration can detract from the quality of the picture. Optimum picture quality will result from clear water and adequate light penetration.

Q: Is this a Black and White system or color? The description says both.

A: Yes it is color. It switches to black and white in low light conditions so you can see better.
