Cats love it, no mess

Not really sure why some people left bad reviews, because this is honestly one of the best cat litters I’ve used. This is my second time buying it, and what really sold me was my cat. Typically, cats need adjustment periods when you switch out cat litter but for some reason my cat seemed to prefer this one (I used silica gel crystals before) probably cause it is more natural and perhaps more pet friendly. I also want to mention something important: my cat had a bad allergic reaction to Arm & Hammer litter a few years ago (which is why I switched to silica gel crystal cat litter), most likely because of the fragrance they use to cover odours. She was scratching and uncomfortable, and it was pretty scary. Since switching to this litter, she’s been completely fine. No reactions at all! You cannot imagine my huge relief. Another reason I wanted to support this brand is because it’s actually Canadian. I did some digging and found out this is the only cat litter truly sourced in Canada. A lot of brands say they’re Canadian, but they’re really just packaged here and not Canadian-owned. Since the tariffs, I really want to help contribute to our local businesses :) the price being pretty good also contributes I guess.

This cat litter is one of the better ones for clumping its characteristics... and it doesn't break the bank.

At first I liked this litter because it’s not as dusty as others but after two days it started to smell and I scoop twice a day. I have three cats and five litter boxes. Unfortunately, I purchased two boxes so I’m stuck with the second box but I will never purchase it again. I will go back to odour beater carbon as it holds, the smell quite well with the activated carbon, although it can be dusty. Until I find something else at any rate stay far away from this litter

This litter is just mediocre, at best. It maintains a main clump, but tends to crumble off lots of little bits from the outside of the main clump that just fall and scatter back into the litter you’re trying to clean up, leaving the litter box contaminated with lots of little unscoopable crumbs…yuck. I recently bought it in November of 2025 because of the very favourable reviews and the decent price, but I will not be buying it again. I had to completely change over my litter box way sooner than I normally would have because of all the used litter debris that couldn’t be removed from this not very good litter. Yes, the price point is decent, but it’s not worth the hassle!
