Not sure I would buy this again.

Assembly wasn't hard, just takes time. The product quality isn't the best; I've had it six months, used it only twice and the front display panel is warping and peeling off, and one of the sides had a coupe of scratches on it when delivered and is starting to rust. The User Manual is horrible; it only tells you about 20% of what should be important to know. Good luck trying to figure out how to use the smoker and undetstand the various settings. Finally, the App is worthless. I have to stand in front of the grill to make a connection, but as soon as I walk about 15' away it disconnects. I suppose I should also note that, so far, the online help and support has been non-existent!

Not Bad, But Discontinuing The Mobile App is an Awful Decision

I've had this grill/smoker for about 6 months. So far, I haven't had any major issues except for not being able to get the Firmware completely up to date until now, and in some situations the grill fails to hold it's temperature steadily. I can live with that, however receiving an email stating the mobile app is being discontinued is a huge disappointment. Is the mobile app the greatest? No. But it serves its purpose and when it works, it works, and at least allows you to monitor the meat probes. Without this functionality, a new wireless meat probe will need purchased, which takes away a huge selling point of this smoker.

Although that specific feature is no longer supported, some customers have found WiFi-enabled meat thermometers to be a helpful alternative for monitoring their cook remotely. It’s not a direct replacement, but it may offer a similar level of convenience.

Awful support

The actual product is great. What isn’t great, and downright unfriendly to consumers is that they are removing app support for this grill. The app wasn’t great to begin with but this is pretty messed up of lifetime. The least they could do is offer support for retrofitting the grill with a replacement for the wifi controller.

Great for any home!

This smoker grill combo is fantastic! I love the versatility. There is no reason to have both a smoker and a grill anymore. I also often use both simultaneously, I will turn on the smoker and the burners when I'm making pizza so that the heat gets high fast but you still get the Smoky taste. It has been equally great for smoked ribs and weekend burgers. Its a great machine. Easy to maintain. Highly recommend.

A: The Lifetime Grill and Smoker is a propane gas fueled grill. Sorry, it is not designed to be connected to a natural gas outlet.
