Holes wrong

Trying to set it up, but holes are in the wrong spot. May need to drill new holes in the plastic or metal.

A: The height adjustment is anywhere in between 7.5 ft-10ft. IE it stops where you want it to and not in specific holes at certain increments.

A: The instructions for the process to cement it in the ground can be found in the assembly manual. The assembly manual and can be downloaded from the manufacture’s website at lifetime.com under the model number. You can find manuals by scrolling all the way to the bottom of the web page and clicking on "Assembly Help". You can then search all products by model number and language. There are also You Tube videos on how to cement your pole in the ground. If you have additional questions you can always reach out to our customer service experts. Q: Can the backboard / net section (or upper part of the assembly be removed for winter? My snow clearing service has a bad habit of clipping my net.

Q: Hi Is it possible to use 2 of the sections of the pole and not all 3? I want to install it at the side of a pool. What is the product # for the sleeve as I would like to be able to take the basketball net off during the winter. Thank you, Jay

A: You could build it without using one of the sections of pole I would think so it wouldn't be as tall (sleeves should fit). I don't think it really comes apart very easily anyway for winter however. Good luck, that'll be fun having a B-ball pool!

Q: If this doesn't come with the ground sleeve, are there instructions included for how to install the pole into the ground? Is it recommended that you buy the ground sleeve separately and will that make the net more sturdier?

A: There are instructions and measurements for cementing the net. I went a little extra and filled the bottom half of the pole and ran a piece of rebar before I joined the upper section. It's extremely sturdy

Q: When The Rim Is Set To 10', What Is The Distance From The Front Of The Pole To The Front Of The Background? When The Rim Is Lowered, Does The Backboard Move Further Away From The Pole?

A: When the rim is set at 10' the distance from the front of the pole to the backboard is 17.5". Yes the distance gets further away when it is lowered. When it is at 8.5' the distance is 25" and when it is at 7.5' the distance is 22".

Q: Does this lifetime net come with the inground sleeve? And is it needed for installation?

A: The ground sleeve is an optional in ground accessory that’s purpose is the convenience of being able to take the pole out of the sleeve if you decide to move. It is not required and is sold separately.
